With the national political spotlight shining squarely on Georgia, Atlanta radio host Eric Von Haessler provided local Libertarian perspective on the two U.S. Senate races that will decide the balance of power. During The Von Haessler Doctrine on WSB Monday, the host says the elections don’t matter because the candidates in both races are “Evil” and “Un-American”
“I hate to use this term, but both parties are evil,” Von Haessler said. “All four canidates have sold their souls to the Devil. The sad part is two of them have sold their souls to the Devil and are going to lose. What do you do after you lose an election like this? I guess you could cash a paycheck at CNN or FOX.”
Von Haessler then blames the media for dividing the country along party lines.
“The media will tell you that Republicans and Democrats hate each other,” he said. “They are trying to drive a wedge between us. If you watch any news at all, they will tell you the world’s on fire and make other absurd claims. About the only one that’s accurate is that Trump is an A-hole. They say if one party or the other wins, we will be a communist country or old white people will take away the right to vote from women and minorities. It’s all B.S. The media tells you that if you don’t vote the world will end. Well guess what? They will say that in the next election, too. No matter who wins, life goes on.”
Even though much of the national media is stressing the importance of both Senate races, Van Haessler says the outcome doesn’t really matter and therefore he is not voting.
“I have no skin in the game,” he said. “I have friends on the left and the right who will get mad at me but I’m not voting for any candidate who is un-American and they all are…. They are all stupid No matter who wins, we all lose. Anybody who puts their own personal vision or their parties’ vision of America before the needs of actual Americans, that’s un-American. Until politicians come back to the people, I will not be voting.”
The run-off elections will take place Tuesday, January 5th.
