iHeartMedia St. Louis flipped its urban contemporary brand Majic 104.9 to conservative news/talk station 104.9 The Patriot Monday.
The move comes less than a month after a local ownership group launched NewsTalkSTL.
The station features a morning show hosted by a familiar name, Jamie Allman, who was terminated by Audacy-owned 97.1 FM in 2018 following a Twitter rant targeting anti-gun activist David Hogg who survived the Parkland, Florida shooting.
“St. Louis is excited to welcome a talk radio station featuring the latest news, opinions, and discussions from a conservative point of view that isn’t afraid to engage with the other side,” said iHeartMedia St. Louis market president John R. Beck, Jr. “104.9 The Patriot will deliver all of that and more every weekday.”
The rest of the talk lineup will feature The Glenn Beck Program; Clay Travis & Buck Sexton; The Jesse Kelly Show; Dave Ramsey Show and Red Eye Radio.

Tomi Lahren: Liz Cheney Should ‘Join The View or Some Other Liberal Network’
“Or better yet, maybe join the ladies of The View or host your own show on one of the many liberal networks. Either way, stay away from the GOP!”
During a Fox News Commentary, host Tomi Lahren suggested Liz Cheney would have better luck in media rather than politics after losing her House of Representatives seat to primary challenger Harriet Hageman.
“My suggestion would be to run as a Democrat, it’s a much more fitting description,” Lahren argued. “Or better yet, maybe join the ladies of The View or host your own show on one of the many liberal networks. Either way, stay away from the GOP!”
Many have speculated that Cheney’s next move, depending on a potential Presidential campaign, could be in the media. CNN’s Don Lemon said “no network would turn down” Cheney if she wanted to do a show on a cable news outlet.
Cheney’s loss to Hageman appears to be the second largest by an incumbent House member in 60 years.
