WBAP 820 AM and News & Information KLIF 570 AM in Dallas have named Bruce Collins as their new Program Director. Collins fills the vacated seat left behind by Kevin Graham who recently moved to San Francisco to program KNBR.

“I cannot thank (Regional Vice President of Cumulus Media) Dan Bennett enough for the opportunity to program two heritage stations like WBAP and KLIF,” Collins said in a press release. “I look forward to working with the entire Cumulus Dallas/Fort Worth staff and producing stimulating, thought provoking, informative, entertaining content each and every day.”

Regarding his new hire, Bennett added: “After a nationwide search, Bruce Collins’ history of winning in News/Talk in Portland made him the obvious choice to lead our talented team in Dallas. His perceptions and analysis of our brands convinced me he should be our next programming leader.”

Collins recently worked for Alpha Media in Portland where he led the market’s top rated talk brand FM News 101 KXL. He was also responsible for providing programming oversight for Freedom 970/KUFO-FM, 750/102.9 The Game/KXTG, and the Radio Northwest Network.

Prior to moving to Oregon, Collins spent time running iHeartMedia’s 1150 WJBO and 1210 The Score in Baton Rouge. He has also programmed stations in Atlanta, Cincinnati, Columbus, Nashville and Oklahoma City.

Rich Zeoli: CNN & MSNBC Want Trump to Run in 2024 ‘More Than Anybody’

Zeoli later added the cable outlets wanted Trump to campaign again even more so than the CPAC Dallas attendees.

An unofficial straw poll was taken at the Conservative Political Action Conference in Dallas Saturday, and attendees overwhelmingly suggested they’d prefer former President Donald Trump be the Republican nominee for the 2024 Presidential ticket, garnering 69% of the vote. Rich Zeoli of 1210 WPHT in Philadelphia surmised those in attendance weren’t the only ones who would strongly prefer Trump run again.

“No doubt CNN and MSNBC took sharp turns left during the Trump presidency, but they’re very excited that Donald Trump won the CPAC straw poll vote,” Zeoli said. “So perhaps he will be running (for President in 2024), and perhaps CNN and MSNBC will get to trash him again.”

Zeoli later added the cable outlets wanted Trump to campaign again even more so than the CPAC Dallas attendees.

“You know they want him to run more than anybody wants him to run. It’s them. For the ratings. That’s what they’re looking for.”

Trump is currently both mulling a 2024 presidential bid, while also considering suing CNN for defamation after the network has characterized him as a “liar” for pushing 2020 election conspiracies.
